Editorial Board Governance

• All board members serve renewable 3-year terms; Editor-in-Chief serves a 5-year term
• All members complete an annual conflict of interest declaration
• A board member who is an author on a submission is fully excluded from its handling
• Board composition targets geographic diversity across at least four continents
• At least 30% of positions are encouraged to represent Africa and the Global South

The full board convenes virtually at least once per year to review editorial policies
