Abstract

The rapid evolution of data management technologies necessitates strategic adoption approaches within organisations. This research examines Namibian organisations' strategic adoption of data management solutions to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. Guided by the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), this study employed a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative surveys (n=40) and qualitative interviews (n=10) within financial institutions. Findings revealed that 85% of participants acknowledged performance advantages, yet 75% identified technical obstacles, 95% emphasised leadership commitment, and 85% cited infrastructure limitations. The research culminated in developing the Integrated UTAUT-Based Data Management System Adoption Framework (I-UDMSAF), a seven-phase strategic approach validated by industry and academic experts. This framework addresses technological, organisational, and governance dimensions, providing actionable guidance for organisations navigating data management system adoption in resource-constrained environments.
